Great quality product

I used this for my new garage doors and it went on beautifully. I was reminded of the benefit of using a quality paint.

does what it says on the tin!

very easy to apply, good coverage and dries as per information stated. Excellent product and worth a little extra on the cost compared to other home branded products.

Easy to apply

Bought as undercoat for a front door that I wanted eventually to look like 10 Downing Street. Very easy to apply. Good coverage. Applied 1st coat of black gloss and I’m on my way to achieving Downing Street finish. Would recommend.

Does what it says on the tin

Great product. Doesn't flake of like regular primer. Easy to use and worth the extra few quid when painting outside.

Dulux grey exterior primer.

Excellent product. Water based so easy brush cleaning afterwards. I find this primer works very well on wooden exterior doors. Tip once rubbed down completely, wipe over with a slightly damp micropore cloth. This has the affect of stopping the paint absorbing too quickly on new plain wood or older doors stripped. The primer levels very well and I only use Dulux exterior gloss over as the two products keytogether very well. White version primer for very light colours.

Great, easy to use

This undercoat is great. It's got great coverage and not streaky at all. It's definitely fast drying, I would suggest not using when it's super hot or sunny as it will dry too quickly to get a nice finish. I did two coats on double french doors and still have over half a tin left! Goes a long way.

So easy to use

I used this product on my garage door and was amazed how easy it was to use. I had about just under half of a wee tin left . I was at the same time painting our garden arbour . I made a mistake because the arbour had a very weird finish and I thought give it a good sand and use Ducksback on it. The Ducksback ( maybe not the best choice) went on but it was patchy in places after many coats. I thought to myself I will try that undercoat on a bit - we’ll to cut a long story short it Iooks so good maybe I will buy more keep it grey instead of the green it was.

Excellent product

Absolutely perfect as a base for the gloss topcoat. Went on easily, no dragging or drips.

Dulux weathersheild dark grey

Lovely paint. Went on effortlessly, no dripping. Colour was perfect. I wanted to change colour from blue to grey to get a modern look until we get new door. Very pleased with it. Used undercoat paint didn’t get top layer. Very pleased with result. 5*

I'm confused

I know it says undercoat on the tin, however judging by reviews and photos, people don't use it as an undercoat and is used as a normal exterior paint. Is this right?
