Solved the problem where I couldn't use rawl plugs
I had an issue where my door frame had come loose and was moving whenever the door shut. The obvious solution was to screw the frame back into place. The problem was that it meant screwing through the door frame into brickwork. Then came the next problem, how to install Rawl plugs in the brickwork without having to take the door frame out. Then I stumbled across these screws, they "alleged" that they screw direct into brick, no need for Rawl plugs. I was a bit dubious, especially as they are not cheap. But, I read reviews of other makes and couldn't really see the difference between them and these and, as these were on offer and available nearby, decided to bite the bullet and give them a try! No regrets at all!! Door frame is now held in place solidly. Drill the correct size hole and screw straight into brick. Sorted! Recommended.
