  • Surface Preparation - All surfaces to be painted must be sound, clean, dry and well prepared. The correct farrow, ball primer and undercoat should be used before the topcoat is applied. Stir contents well before use & apply 2 topcoats
  • Instructions for Storage - Protect from frost & extreme temperatures. Best used within 6 months of purchase.

Features and benefits

  • Farrow & Ball's signature, chalky matt finish, 2% sheen
  • Eco-friendly emulsion paint with zero VOC content
  • Wipeable and child safe
  • Water-based and low odour
  • Quick drying
  • We want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. Really red!

Beautiful paint- covered in 2 coats. I did not use a base.

Rectory red

Beatiful paint which perfectly finished off a dull bedroom with a splash of colour

PretendPoet - 5 / 5 - 14/09/2024

Rectory Red exterior eggshell.

Love this red, super quick drying so unexpected rain soon after painting my fence was no problem. Expensive but a little goes a long way and long lasting.

Disappointed

Colour not as expected and unlike colour on the chart.

Super eye catching red

Delicious colour compliments pale walls and cupboards beautifully

Multiple coats needed…

After 3 coats (dead flat) on top of warm/red primer, there were still select areas that needed a 4th coat. This is the only F&B color we’ve had an issue with.

White Lodge - 1 / 5 - 09/04/2024

Uncharacteristically poor for F&B

Finish lacked depth and shine. Now having to rework with paint from another manufacturer.

Sally55 - 5 / 5 - 09/04/2024

A very deep colour

It took 3 coats and we were a bit worried that it was going to be streaky, but once it was dry it looked lovely. It’s a very deep rich colour. Maybe a bit much as we have done a whole attic bedroom in it, but we like it. We were trying to match the original colour that we found on the walls in the room which was build around 1860.

F&B Rectory Red

Gorgeous color with so much depth. Putting it in my laundry room

Superb!

Rectory Red was the perfect shade to set off my grandmother’s portrait and our William Morris rug, as well as the real plaster ceiling and walls. The matte finish and complex pigments create a rich, velvety look that works in daylight and nighttime.
