Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Suitable for use on Metal, plaster & wood surfaces
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Such a great colour
Such a great colour. There are so many colours to chose from but this colour really looks great in our hall. We are so pleased. Cost a bit more but worth it.

Excellent
I have used Calke Green a couple of times, Estate Eggshell and Modern Emulsion. This was Gloss. I used the recommended undercoat and thought it was a shade too dark requiring three topcoats for the complete effect. May have been me, the undercoat was Dark Tones. I did initially think any other undercoat would be too light so that's my conundrum. The final colour is VERY lustrous so it was worth it (as it always is with F&B).

Calc green Estate Emulsion
This paint went on my very uneven 1800's walls very nicely. I used a roller, and the coverage is perfectly even. I used 2 coats, and i seem to get far more out of a tin than i thought, going off other brands ive used in the past.The colour and finish has been a talking point for everyone who comes to my house. Far superior to other paints, im used to going for cheaper brands, i dont think ill ever make that mistake again.

Bad coverage
Couldn’t get even colour as thin & streaky. Mixed it throughly used different methods to apply and still didn’t get even colour Used farrow & Ball lots of times but avoid this colour at all costs! It doesn’t even deserve a one star

Nice green ,ideal for kitchens
Nice green but not our final choice as we had bought 4 sample pots. If we were changing the kitchen completely it would have been this green, but not now

Super happy
I love the depth of this colour and how it changes in the light. We started with white walls and used a lot of the recommended undercoat but this went on so well over the undercoat. It's such warm colour without being too dark.

The best paint on the planet
Without doubt, the absolute best paint i have ever used. The dead flat range is unbelievable. The pigmentation in the paint is fantastic. It goes on like a dream and dries without any imperfections to a beautiful soft matt velvet finish. I'm hooked. Well done, Farrow and Ball
