Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Sample Pot

I love it!! Exactly what I wanted.
This is my first time getting Farrow and Ball. I've always loved the colors I've seen in pictures (and I am so picky when it comes to colors,) but never bit the bullet to get it for myself. Then I was searching for a very specific blue and could not find it at any of the local stores. Ta-da, there it was on pinterest, Cooks Blue from Farrow and Ball. I ordered a gallon. I'm using it for trim, doors and some beadboard wainscotting. ABSOLUTELY love it! I'm nearly done and there's only about 1/4 of the can gone after 2 coats on nearly everything. The coverage is so good. Usually with this type of painting I'm doing 3 coats, but that's not necessary. And it's spreading so far. Once I'm finished if I can add a photo I will.

Brightens the room and gives a bright fresh look
Vibrant colour looks great on wood panels great the room a great look would recommend if you are looking for a bright blue.

Garden room feeling blue
Always good to use. Good coverage. A fairly adventurous colour for us, but our garden room looks splendid! Who’d have thought blue would make a room look cosy? Ties the room together and makes my paintings look great.

Colour is nice but disappointing gloss finish!
Used this for the front door and quite happy with the colour. It was even mixed up in the shop which is quite a breakthrough instead of having to wait for postage or things to arrive etc. My only gripe is that I bought a gloss as I'm a little tired of using satin paints at this point but the finish is really poor quality. Coverage is alright and typical for an F&B paint but the paint cures too quickly so it's incredibly hard to get a smooth non-streaky glossy finish no matter what tool you use. But of a missed trick by F&B as gloss paints will be so popular in the future again but other brands will do a much better finish.

Beautiful blue!!
I had my hall and stairwell painted in this blue and it looks gorgeous! I have a lot of art hanging on the walls and the blue makes a perfect backdrop. Am so pleased I took the plunge, after years of just having white walls!

Gorgeous Blue for Front Door
Love the richness and vibrance of this paint. Used the correct primer and only required two coats for our front door painting over red and black.
