Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Wonderful colours - terrible paint
Attracted by Farrow and Ball's unique and gorgeous colours, we decided to go with them throughout for the bedroom, despite the comparative expense. Turned out to be a major error. Putting a hand on the wall to steady oneself is a no-no. It will leave a mark, which it seems will be worsened by attempts to wipe it off. Indeed, a PDF on Farrow and Ball's own website advises that a mark on the wall may or may not be remedied even by touching up over the stain. The company recommends, appallingly, that the whole wall may need to be repainted. The gloss on the wordwork is also a disappointment. Three coats may suffice as the paint is so thin. We will not be using Farrow and Ball paints again, despite the beauty of their colour palette. The material itself is just too burdensome and impractical. But are the colours really that precious? One can do wonders these days with a RGB Colour Picker that can convert to RAL for a custom mix of better-quality paint. Farrow and Ball, now barred from the rest of the whole house refurbishment. Wonderful colours - terrible paint.

I've used this colour in other rooms and it continues to impress. The depth of colour gives this east/west facing room a warm yet airy feel. Another of Farrow and Balls great achievements 😊

Love this paint
I love the customer service at Farrow and Ball. Yes, the paint is more expensive than I have been used to, but you get what you pay for. The cost is worth it. Beautiful coverage. Easy to clean up. Love, love, love it.

Excellent product the dead flat is brilliant so easy to use, well worth spending the extra to get a good product as I’m only doing this once
