Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.

- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Awful patches after two coats
We prepped the walls with primer and applied two coats of the colour with good quality rollers and brushed, the end result was so patchy I was in shock. You can see the primer coat underneath. We painted other rooms at the same time with other brands and they look great with two coats. Not worth the price, we will need to apply another two coats, making this about 4x the price of other decent quality paints you only need to two coats for!!

Beautiful, warm red
I'm so pleased I chose this lovely, warm red to update my son's bedroom furniture; it's elegant and works well in the south facing room.

Dead flat eating room red
Love dead flat paint but in this colour it looks very much like iron oxide paint so didn't keep and removed the paint.. the paint itself was the usual high quality product

Very happy with the result!
I hesitated whether the result would not be too dark or lacking peace in the sitting room but with Picture Gallery Red warmth and comfort are back in the room! Before it was a nice white but this is so much better! The pictures do not even reflect who great it is.

Stunning colour
Stunning colour. Used across plaster & wood so the dead flat was the perfect finish. From a practical perspective the dead flat paint is quite thick so cutting in was more tricky. The finish was great though.

Quality paint that goes a long way!
Very impressed with the quality of this paint despite being more expensive than others. Easy to use and is water based, so no harsh chemicals required to clean brushes / rollers. The colour is warm and has depth. It changes throughout the day depending on the light and at night gives a warm cosy feeling with soft external lighting. Its just the look we wanted. Very happy.

Beautiful paint :-)
We spent several weeks hovering between different shades of red for our snug and in the end went for Eating Room Red in Modern Emulsion (as much as I love the Estate Emulsion, was concerned 'little fingers' may mark it). The paint goes on like a dream and is wonderful to work with. The shade changes during the day & evening depending on the lighting & we couldn't be happier with the results.
