Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Suitable for use on Metal, plaster & wood surfaces
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Used on walls and wood
Great colour. The finish is chalky, 'dead flat' and so far hard wearing. The reasons that it is 3 stars only is that the texture and finish of the paint is chalky.

Dead Flat: a perfect Matt finish

Fantastic colour for large spaces
Our living room has high combed ceilings from when it used to be a single story cottage. The walls originally had magnolia on them, which washed everything out. I did not use a primer because I thought magnolia wouldn’t need one. Had to use three coats to get a proper coverage but the results are fantastic. Our room feels cozy and inviting while giving definition to the height of the space. The colour came out more grey/purplish in our living room, depending on how the light hits it. I used Joa’s White for the window alcoves and Dimity for the window trim. They’re all lovely! But F&B is so mega expensive, it makes me wonder why people buy it at when you can get the exact same colour mixed up at the B&Q paint counter for half the price.

LoVely Warm Colour Of London Stone
I bought this colour to paint the inset of my cast iron fire surround. It gives a warmth and depth to the area and sets off my AGA stove beautifully. The remaining walls are painted in F&B Archive, so London Stone provides enough contrast to add emphasis and interest to the chimney breast.

Cosy & Warm
A gorgeous, warm colour once it’s on the walls. Room looks so cosy. Very pleased with the result. Tester pot did not do it justice.
