Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Suitable for use on Metal & wood surfaces
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Dead flat
Oddly the paint in the sample pot is much more durable than the paint in the large pot. This paint scuffs very easily, I’m very disappointed.

Railing is a gorgeous black
Gorgeous rich black, with the hints of Blue. Goes on beautifully and covers well. Looks good on you and renovated surfaces.

Classic deep colour, beautiful finish
The paint goes on like a dream, it such a fantastic. I used it for my fireplace mantle and hope to continue it on the woodwork and shelves in my bathrooms, potentially my welsh dresser. A classic off-navy-black with stunning depth. The emulsion for the fireplace is perfect.

Colour is great, packaging not so much
Love the deep, moody colour. Looks so luxurious on the walls, goes on very well and has great coverage. It's just a shame the lid wasn't on so a whole lot had spilled out into the plastic bag

A sophisticated and versatile colour
Overall, Railings is a powerful colour choice that has transformed our bathroom wall. White bath furniture and grey porcelain tiles, it looks amazing. Thus I’d advise that it’d be particularly effective for statement pieces like front doors, kitchen islands, or accent walls. While it requires some consideration in application due to its depth, the results can be truly stunning.
