Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.
- Suitable for use on Metal, plaster & wood surfaces
- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

Perfect colour
Bought the tester pot but knew this was the colour we wanted after staying at a holiday let that had it

Will need more than two finishing coats, at least three and possibly four

Good sample
Good size sample pot, and the colour was perfect. It is great to be able to paint a good size area to get the effect.

Lovely colours, wicked names, make a choice
Assorted tester pots of paint so we can decide on what colour we want for our next project , I know they appear to be pricy but the several ones we chose made us decide as soon as we saw it on a homemade tester board.

Living room wall painted with the color Vardo.
Our living room wall painted with Vardo color looks great. I love the different looks of color with the change of natural lighting throughout the day. Can’t wait when we begin the installation of artworks on it.

Recommended external wood paint
In love with Vardo as a colour very mid century vibe, but this particular version is on my outside side gate for a pop of colour and is much admired. It lasts very well, with all the inevitable knock from wheelie bins, barrows etc and protects the wood, rationing it’s colour after many seasons of weather.

Vardo office
Vardo walls with Pointing on ceiling and wood. The colour changes from green to blue depending on the light.

Fab
Fantastic colour. I bought a sample tin for my daughter’s bedroom which she liked, so she bought a bigger tin in the modern emulsion. She’s using gold & orange colours in her picture frames & posters which really makes a statement. She was expecting more of a blue colour but it’s north facing so looks greener, but she absolutely loves it. It’s turned a cold bedroom in to a lovely cosy room.
