Worked for me

Was not sure about using this but had a small leak by the boiler in a place difficult to access and it was near Christmas and did not want to have a problem during the holiday period. Well it worked for me, several weeks on there is no leak and the pressure is holding. Will it cause any long term problems with the system, time will tell. Was easy to put into the system via a bathroom towel radiator having released the pressure from the filler tap.

Stopped pressure dropping in a few hours!

I have an oil boiler and sealed central heating system. My pressure was dropping down pretty quickly from an unknown microleak, probably in pipes under the flooring somewhere. I added this F4 into a towel radiator. First I closed the two valves at bottom, opened up the screw in opening at the top where the bleed valve is. Then I drained the radiator completely by using a mole wrench again to open up the nut above the water wval e that connect the radiator to the pipe. The water gushed oityand it was a bit of a mess, but I used a big tub and towels to cope. Once water stopped coming out, I tightened the nut up again to shut it. Then I added the whole bottle of F4 into top of radiator using a small funnel. I partly screwed in the bleed valve at the top of the radiator, to allow air to escape. Then, I opened the two valves back up at the bottom of the radiator. Water refills it very quickly, so I leaped up and had the mole wrench ready to shut the bleed valve completely once water started to come out of the top. I then let water into the system to get the pressure up to 1.5 bars. Two days later, the pressurised still holding perfectly!

It worked

Losing 0.5Bar per day in my sealed system. Put this stuff in, pressure stabilised.

Fantastic

Our heating system started losing 0.1 of a bar (atmosphere) per day. No detectable leaks. Not even via the pressure relief valve. I surmise it is below the concrete floor in the living room. I bought the Fernox Leak Sealer F4 500ml. Only when I got home did I read it was only for up to a 10 single radiator system. I reckon ours equates to 13. Rather than get more, I thought I'd try to get away with one bottle. Initially, it fixed the leak for 48 hours. Then it dropped 0.1 bar. It then stabilised for 4 days before dropping another 0.1 bar over the next 2 days. I added another bottle. No pressure drop since. That's 9 days. One tip for you. Buy the applicator if you intend adding it via a radiator rather than a header tank.

Fernox Leak Sealer

My central heating system sprung a leak from a pipe/Union sealed in a concrete floor one week before setting off on holiday. I added Fernox Leak Sealer via the header tank after emptying the tank and draining a bucket of water from the system - to ensure the sealer was drawn in to the system. I then ran the heating for a few hours to mix through system. Following morning all dry, no more leak! The sealer has appearance and consistency of PVA glue so was too gluppy to add via a radiator. There is a version of this sealer for adding via radiator but it's much more expensive. This product did exactly what it promised to do and saved a huge amount of hassle.
