Brilliant idea
Once I understood how to take the screw fittings off this was so easy to use. Will be buying more as this product is so versatile

useful kit
Easy to fit to allow us to link two of our water butts. This means we can have another water but to collect even more rain water for use in the summer

Does the job

These do not work to connect at the bottom
I bought to connect two waterbutts together using existing sockets at the bottom, they do not work for this purpose since they need to be screwed in from the outside. I sawed off the flanges to be able to screw them in from the outside, but without washers or flanges they will leak, so need to look fomr something else.

Just the job
Bought 2 of these and they are easy to fit and work well. They are the size stated (500mm length of pipe) and I added a 3rd butt between 2 existing ones hence needing 2.

Not as described
Should come with 2 connectors as pictured both in the picture and in the packaging. However this item came with only 1 which makes the whole kit useless. The package is sealed so I am at a loss as to how this has happened. Come on B&A sort it out.

Hose connection not watertight.
This would be fine to connect water butts at the top, so that they could overflow into each other, but there are no instructions with it and I used it to connect two butts at the bottom because only one had a functioning tap. It required generous amounts of PTFE tape and silicone sealant to ensure a watertight connection when the butts were filled!

Exactly as wanted
We bought this to save water for ur community garden and would have appreciated a discount as it is for the town and nothing to do with Council.We have produced this lovely garden from a derelict wast ground site. We have been requested to save rain water to water the plants and as we have no roof and gutters we have installed the gutters as a means of catching what rain we can.
