Wrong size shown on pack
I brought this to modify a badly fitted washing machine outlet. The outlet was fitted below the U bend drain pipe, so all the sink waste back fed into the washing machine. Anyway. the threaded/screw end fits a 40mm fitting. Great but the pipe and compression end is only 32mm. So I have to see if I can return this item. Another "waste" of time.

Item does not match its description.
Floplast seem to have changed the design of this, and not updated the Pack shot that B&Q uses - nor the picture on their packaging or in their catalogue PDF. (Part no. is TA43). This is now constructed like the Floplast 32mm Waste Trap Height Adjustor (as seen on B&Q website). Rather than being plain pipe at one end, there is a threaded boss instead. (In other words, it's a FIXED extension piece) Since that it not what I needed, I cut it off - only to find that the actual pipe is only 32mm anyway! (I would add a photo - but I've somewhat destroyed the evidence ;-) If buying in store - examine the product closely...it's possible that old stock exists.

Not even a good DIY'er
I purchased this item along with other Floplast items. We had been getting really bad smells and leaking from sink waste piping, we had a friend of a friend fit previous pipework (not a good idea). I checked B&Q online and decided to DIM (do it myself). I am pleased to say that these items made it so easy. No leaks, No smells and water flows away perfectly. I would highly recommend Floplast and B&Q.
