Spare stock
I bought this from large store as my local only had the complete unit which I had to by as the previous one had failed. Lasted about two years.

Does the job perfectly
I bought this to replace the old valve, which was causing the cistern to fill very slowly. the new valve has now solved the problem.

Problem solved in minutes!
The Fill valve was not closing off and so water overflowed into the WC and was running for days. I followed online guides and cleared any debris and refitted the cap but it continued to not shut off the water fill. Was expecting to have to replace the whole unit, which is a time-consuming task. Sceptical this would solve it, but I chose the quickest option first and within minutes it solved the problem and normal behaviour was restored!

Like it says on the tin!
I had a fault which the Fluidmaster literature said would be fixed by a new washer. I obtained the washer at a very reasonable price and it was delivered to my local store before the promised time. It was so simple to fit and cured the problem.

Really easy to fit.
Assuming your problem requires this valve - then I would say, don't hesitate and DIY. So long as you can turn of the water, and follow the instructions on the card that comes with the valve, it really is a simple, 2 minute job to fit this part. If you have a google, there are even videos online showing you how to do it. PS. You may need to also research how to take the lid of the cistern, as for some dual-flush valves it's not obvious - but once you "know how" it is simple. It really does help if you know, or can identify the make/model of, the components in your cistern.
