This product is not fit for purpose
I bought this product last week and had it installed, tested and certified by a registered gas-fitter. The following day it went out soon after lighting. I checked the "Trouble-shooting Guide" and eventually managed to relight it after many tries. It went out after two hours and has refused to relight despite many tries.

GAS FIRE NEARLY BURNED MY HOUSE DOWN !!!!!!!!
I bought this Fire and had it fitted by a Registered Gas Fitter who I use to service my boiler etc every year so know him. The Fire Burned well for a day, next day I lit the fire and the fire had been on for 2 hours, THEN as we were sitting watching the tv, 2 COALS rolled out of the Fire onto our carpet !!!!! luckily we were sitting in the room otherwise the house would have went up. I had the fitter re check the setup again and he found nothing wrong with the set up. I think looking at the fire it is too steep for the coals sit tight . Due to this we are getting the fire removed as we do not feel safe as we were very very lucky. So cheapish fire now costing me new fire and new sitting room carpet ,however it could have been the house .

good value cheap fire
I use this more as a focal point, flames and coals look pretty realistic like a coal fire roaring. chrome looks nice. The heat isn't brilliant but OK, like me I say its more for looks for me as I use central heating more. I would recommend you this. Good value cheap little modern look gas fire.

Not bad for a cheap fire
I mainly got this as am a landlord..so cost was an issue..For the price is was good..heat is good..only thing I would say is the front silver metal bit in front of coal is very thin and I ended up using the one that I had already from the last fire as that was made from a thicker metal..Other than that it does the job...also the coal bed is quite shallow..price was good as I got it 20 pounds cheaper with sale on...If you want a cheap fire I would recommend it.Delivery was quick..
