Difficult to turn on
Looks lovely, but very difficult to turn on and controls in a difficult place. would not suggest for anyone with problems with their hands or for the elderly. ensure you have a fire resistant board to attach it to. front panel needs to be removed to use the controls, this heats up and gets warm to the touch, so be careful of that. Be careful also when turning on, as is a open flame, don't get to close to it, and you would need a fireguard if you have kids or pets. Warms up quickly and does look nice. if you can afford to pay the extra get the remote control one.

Looks ok until you use it
Takes forever to warm up a room, stones turn black due to being placed in the wrong position even though that’s not the fires fault I put them back incorrectly the stones constantly fall of due to the strips being broken as the tiny pins holding them in place snapped.the side pieces never remain in place and the bit where the steps stay in place is broken too. It never polish’s up ( I use fire cleaner) better off using a hot water bottle.

Gas fire
Looks good. Nice coal effect. However pebbles get covered in soot and a lot of heat goes up flue so not economical. On off buttons too low. Have to get on knees to light

Do not buy this fire
Absolutely a waste of money. Had one for 2 years and it’s failed it’s landlords safety inspection as there is a flame shooting out from the pilot light area when it’s on full.

Fire is rubbish
I brought this fire in June 2018 it was fitted in July 2018 by a reputable company gas safe issues with coals not sitting properly fire going out contacted focal point about this as it has a 3 year warranty they replied it has been fitted incorrectly which isn't true the gas safe engineer came on the 13th of August and he had to fit a new part to it I've informed focal point they said I've gone against the warranty by getting the issue sorted when they wouldn't either bother coming out to inspect it SO PLEASE IF ANYONE IS THINKING OF BUYING THIS FIRE DON'T BOTHER!!!!

The product isn't worth it
I've had this fire less than a year it cuts out and the pebbles are sooting I've been in touch with the manufacturer and they say its the way the pebbles have been put in and that the fire needs servicing I wished I hadn't brought it now I've got to pay out for a part don't buy it

Cheap & rubbish....do not buy
The fire itself looks nice but it is really cheap materials. The stones and back panel went black immediately with soot build up, even with the stones placed in the way the manual suggests. The front panel gets really hot and to move the panel away to turn the fire off you need something to protect your hand else it will burn you. If the wind blows slightly we have a massive draught and whistling through the fire which drives us crazy. This wasn't the case with our old fire and wish we'd never bought this as it's so cheaply made. Don't waste your money!!!
