Coals poor quality . Focal customer service worse
The coals on my fire are badly discoloured after only a few hours use - 10-12 hours. I raised the issue with Focal only to be fobbed off "If any ceramic coal is covering even a small portion of the flame port, they will appear burned" Apparently the coals need to be placed to the millimetre in accordance with the (black and white) instruction manual that doesn't actually contain any measurements...... Photo is my coals Vs instruction manual image , yes they not exactly identical but ....jeez.

The fire looks really good. Love how the flames flicker. Warm on low heat. Not very happy with the way you have to unhook the cover to get to switch it on you need two hands to put it back, a slide out cover would have made it easier.
