Worst door I've purchased

I swore I wouldn't buy anymore doors from B&Q again years ago but these doors fit the bill for a project I was doing and to be honest they looked ok through the wrapping. My first shock was the three splinters I got as I removed them from the polythene, I would have returned them straight away but had a tight timescale. I decided to crack on with the doors but the amount of work I had to do to get a half decent finish was incredible and I consider this a lesson learned.

pine see through door

Dont waste your money poor quality door see through pine laminated some places hollow constuction panel edges so thin can see daylight even when stained and varnished

good quality door

I bought this door 2 weeks ago. The door seems good quality. It had to be trimmed by a considerable amount due to a none standard opening. there was sufficient wood to allow for this. My only gripe is the surface could be smoother, it needed sanding before painting and again after application of promer. However all in all a decent door.

Nice door!

Nice solid door, a couple of minor defects but nothing worth complaining about. Ideal to either paint or just clear seal or varnish.

Poor quality

Finish on door very poor. The write up says "engineered door" this is an insult to an engineer. The door is constructed of bits of wood, comb jointed together and veneer. I had to spend a lot of time preparing the door for painting. After a second coat of undercoat, the veneer started to lift. Very disappointed. I would have returned door, for a refund, if I had not spent so much time fitting and painting the door

Ok but Not great

Compared to other doors we bought it looks cheap and flimsy and needs painting
