This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, antique pine satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Exactly what I wanted!
I wanted a varnish to darken some pine shelves and a mantle. I've not used this brand before and there were no reviews, but I took a punt and so glad I did. The quality and colour are both great. The pictures show the difference - I also tried the brand's medium oak to see which I preferred, so I've included a picture of both on a piece of pine, as well as the finished shelves.
