Product is fine, get a professional!
Can't believe all the negative reviews! I guess people should leave things to the professionals. Worktop edging, never comes as self adhesive. To fit the tape correctly it is fixed with 'impact adhesive'. The edging always overlaps, you then have to cut it and sand it. Leaving negative feedback because you don't know what your doing, lol!

This is edging WITHOUT adhesive
Expensive but good tough plastic edging. Need to also buy contact adhesive to secure it to the cut end of the work surface

Does a decent job
Not perfect but does the job for the edge of the breakfast bar that has a rough edge. We used wood glue to stick it on and looks ok but not 100% smooth. Also about 2mm too thick so has an overlap on the under side

Works well
The edging strip is good quality and not difficult to apply: Cut a bit longer than required, with scissors. Cut off most of the excess width with a straight edge and sharp utility knife, to make trimming easier. Apply solvent-based contact cement (e.g. Evo-stick impact) both to worktop edge and edging strip. Leave for 10 mins, position so the top edge is flush with worktop and press down firmly, starting at one end and working along. Trim excess length with a sharp knife holding a block of wood behind for support. Trim excess width underneath worktop using knife with a smooth scraping action or pare with a razor sharp chisel. Finally, peel off the (almost invisible) protective film.

Tips for installation
I had to replace an edge on the worktop that was damaged, so I removed it to reveal a raw cut edge. I glued this edging tape and the side of the worktop, stuck them together and overnight it all bubbled up all bumpy, really bad. So I now have to remove it. So the tip is to gloss paint the side of the worktop and let it dry before the gluing the new edge back on then hopefully it will lay flat when it dries.

It is not tape - it’s not sticky on the back.
It’s a roll of plastic that you have to glue on. Calling it “tape” is misleading. You could get a sample free if all you want is a small bit for repairs.

Absolute rubbish
Plastic rubbish. Never had as much hassle as with this. Fitted worktops for years but to get an edge is a nightmare.

Useless and wrong size
No installation instructions to begin with. Tried everything, in the end contact adhesive sort of did it but who knows how long it will last. And it’s too wide for the worktops! You have to trim it to fit, not funny!

Useless dont bother
Bought this to finish worktops and its useless,ive put plenty edging strips on but this simply wont stick..had to bodge it with gripfill in the end
