This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, black satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Acrylic varnish
Acrylic varnish is a very good but strange product for wood, producing a durable solid finish without brushmarks. It's a strange paint - the black product for example looks grey in the tin and on the brush but when you apply it turns black. You do need three coats for the full effect with complete coverage but it's a brilliant smooth finish when done. The product spreads a long way so a small tin can do a whole table.

Very thin doesn’t stain well
Even after 6 coats very poor staining. Leaves the wood very greasy and looks awful. Avoid at all costs.

Horrendous
I bought this fur to the previous glowing reviews, all of which I can see did not pay for this product. Unfortunately I did and it’s the biggest waste of time and money I have ever encountered. It is like dish water, doesn’t provide any coverage and drips horrifically. I will now have to find an alternative product to rectify the mess it has caused.

Great finish
Bought this paint for a little DIY product and have found multiple uses for it. It applies well and leaves a lovely finish. Very happy.

Worked wonders.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this varnish for a bench that I made for the garden. Very easily to brush on, and gives a good coverage with one coat. One small tin went a long long way. Once dry the finish is amazing. Highly recommend

Perfect for the job

Nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice furniture wood polish, easy to use, does a good job with a decent finish. Couple coats needed for a dark enough black finish but pretty good. Nice silky smooth satin finish. Gives a nice modern look to furniture in this black finish.

Amazing!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was abit skeptical at first as not tried this brand before I thought I would give it a go and I am so glad that I did. I used one coat of paint and it was very easy to apply and 1 coat covered to whole area very well and it dried very quickly which I was very surprised about. The smell wasn't strong and the slight smell that there was passed in a couple of hours which I was very impressed about.

Black furniture paint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a great product. Good coverage, 2 coats and my piece of furniture was done. I thought it was a bit thin when I opened it so make sure you give it a good mix before starting to paint. I would highly recommend this product to others.
