This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, clear satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

This product is great.
I purchased this varnish to replace a faulty tin not purchased in B&Q. This product is a lot better as per all my paint & varnish purchased over the past 40 years from this store

I wish I'd spent more money and bought something a bit mor substantial. I wanted a varnish to cover multiple surfaces, this is only effective on a limited number.

Rubbish for brand new beech worktop.
Did 2 layers on brand new beech worktop and it wasn't protecting at all. Put a third layer and it became too sticky. For example putting elbows on for couple of minutes would leave weird stains. Not sure if the issue is beech, but 2 layers of Ronseal eventually worked best for me. It was also applied to the table and it kept chipping off in areas where plates were placed.

I purchased this product to seal the surfaces of new doors where routed to size but found that at least two coats were required to gain a seal and and at least one more to get a smooth finish. Did the job but took more time than expected.

This product is terrible
I bought this item to harden a newly painted worktop and it was useless could not stop it streaking and I am experienced in painting for over 40 years avoid this product for this purpose

The varnish was absolutely perfect for what it was intended for
