This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, clear satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Easy to use varnish
Bought to varnish dining table. Easy to use, applied 4 coats 4 hours apart. 750ml pot covered 1 large dining table and bench with some left over. Definitely finishes to a clear sheen. Still waiting for it to cure. Hopefully hardens more.

48 hrs later still has a slight tac to it - definitely not fast drying !

Easy to use but beware
Easy to use / apply - beware though found it to be contaminated with small brown particles when gentle stirred , some quite large ! Had to work round these contaminants and spent some time fishing many out. Caused me lost time and job took longer because of it.

Fabulous Product worth every penny
This varnish is the best I have ever used and as it’s clear it does not colour what you’re using it on. It also has a lovely satin finish 🤗

Low odour, great finish and easy to clean brushes
This is my second tin of clear satin multi-surface varnish. I would highly recommend it as low odour, easy to apply and to clean the brush in warm soapy water. It has a 'blue hue' to the colour so you can see where you have coated the wood, but it dries perfectly clear. Just apply a very thin coat which dries quickly, then add another coat or two. It is quite runny so if you put too much on it will run! I've used it to varnish an old painted rocking horse and more recently to give a nice satin finish to an up-cycled cupboard that was painted with a matt furniture paint.

Easy to apply and brought out the texture of the wood. The brush was easy to clean after use.

My favourite clear coat
The only clear coat I use. No discolouration. No streaks. Fast drying. Water based so easy to clean. Top marks.

Great product
Was a little dubious on opening tin and seeing varnish was white and is a little milky looking on application but is easy to apply and great finish. Really pleased
