Bought this product last month it would take 4 coats to cover a shed I don't recommend this to anyone

Good coverage
Got this product to paint new fence materials covered good but needed 2 coats , but that was to be expected as wood was new.

Great garden paint
Excellent product covers well and drys in a great time hence easy to apply a second coat. Great price and easy to clean brushes.

Awful coloured water no more than that!
Awful. Like coloured water! It's so thin 7 coats in and still just soaking into the wood, looks like I've done nothing. Just did a plank in another brand - instead coverage!

Decent budget woodstain
Decent budget woodstain. Was applied by spray gun to untreated fresh softwood shed. Everything well scuffed up with sandpaper and a wire brush as preperation. A time consuming chore but worth it. 2 coats and there is a good washed finish. Definately a wood stain rather than a wood paint. It would take many coats to get a painted like finish. This stain has some difficulty in adhering to smooth wood. Really needs proper prep first. I also used it on an grubby fence section. Pressure treated wood that had previously been painted with wood preservative some years ago. Not the best adhesion due to previous treatments still in wood (likely oil based hence this water based stain is having problems). 1 year later and the stain has not leached too badly or been washed away. It is colourfast and shows no sign of fading. Stain is a decent consistency for brush painting and spot on for high pressure spray. Straight from the tub without any thinning required. Not the best stain I have ever used but it's far from the worst as long as the surface has been properly prepped. Good for the price.

Waste of money and time.
I wish I'd bought online so I could have seen these reviews. I'm 5 coats into my shed and I'm still nowhere near the colour on the tin. It's a bright blue. Not the sage green as on the label or it appears in the tub. I'm in two minds whether to quit and get a different brand or keep going until I hopefully get somewhere near the colour advertised. What I do know is that I've wasted a whole day removing doors, hinges etc and painting which is more annoying than the waste of money. The attached photo is 5 coats!
