Absolute garbage
Supposed to handle 17mm height difference. so theoretically ideal for new laminate to existing vinyl. However. This relies upon the plastic mounting spigots flexing enough at the same time as the adhesive goo on the strip holding against the force of the spigots wanting to flex back. Surprise - the goo doesn't hold well enough, even when the surface has been cleaned. Completely unfit for purpose.

Rubbish
Plastic grommets just bent and snap. The bar itself is flimsy and bends easily. Don’t waste your money.

Door threshold strip
I followed the (very small) instructions exactly. Fitting however proved impossible and i'm now left with two drilled holes in a concrete floor. Whilst the strip looks ok, the plastic fitting plugs are not strong or rigid enough and bend on fitting. Gave up, it's now in a bag awaiting return. Don't know when i'll next get to B&Q as i won't make the trip just for a return.

Perfect
Cut to correct length. Put masking tape down laid strip and marked with pencil along length. Used off cut and drilled pilot hole from underside in the centre ( groove assists this) used off cut to then drill pilot holes placing edge of offcut along pencil mark. Opened holes to 6mm. Removed masking tape. Positioned plastic pins in strip to line up with drilled holes laid on top and tapped in. Simples!

Went down perfectly - just do it patiently
Drill the right size holes (mine said 6mm) at the right depth and in a straight line. Clean out excess swarf. With the pins in even places ease it down slowly pushing each pin in by one click and move along the bar. Put fingers underneath until it’s close to the floor so you can feel the pins are going in straight (masking tape marking where they are avoids unnecessary contact with the glue strip). A pin bending isn’t going to correct itself - so you must STOP and find out why.
