This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, mahogany satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Beautiful deep colour with decent coverage
Used to varnish a 60 cm x 220 cm desk top and had plenty for the recommended 3 coats in the small tin. Great deep colour. Easy to use and simple to clean brush with soap and water. Loved it .

Nice
Looks purple in the tin & even takes a few strokes before turning brown but the finish is lovely.

Does exactly what is says on the tin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really beautiful colour. I used this for bedroom doors and painted directly on to the wood with no prior stain on it. Really good quality and I only needed the one coat. Goes really nice with white walls and the doors now match the floors and it looks amazing.

Satisfying make over project

Easy to apply and a good coverage on my old wooden stool. Makes my stool like new. I couldn't believe how easy to use and the colour was perfect too!

Lovely colour, applies really well and looks amaze
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to paint an old rocking chair that I recently sanded down. Applying the first coat was so easy and the paint is not lumpy and the colour is exactly what it says on the tin. Sometimes I find the colour could be darker or lighter but this mahogany colour was exact, pure and left the furniture looking amazing. Ready for a mother and her newborn!

Great to touch up some small pieces of furniture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted to freshen up our two side tables for Christmas and this was perfect. It was really easy to apply and no streaks, and has given a lovely finish to out pieces. (we only used it in the legs so this was the perfect size tin)

Exactly what we wanted!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GoodHome, being an own brand product can put people (including myself) off, but I am proven very wrong with this product. It was a pleasure to use! We have been renovating our home over the past few years and we kept debating what to do with the threshold’s throughout the house. So in the end we decided to sand them down and stain them again, this mahogany satin varnish was perfect for what we needed! It goes on really well, and could get away with 1 coat. Obviously the more coats, the darker the result you will get. Drying time is around 4-6 hours we found. But we left it at least 24 hours before allowing ourselves to step on them without a worry Would highly recommend this varnish, it’s a beautiful colour and gives great results. A little goes much further than you would think!
