This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, medium oak gloss finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Poor colour match
Using an example of our wooden floor I picked this product because it was the closest match. The paint is a green colour when you open and stir, applied 3 coats as instructed but the colour match to the flooring was nowhere near, perhaps it’ll age?

Colour nowhere near the swatch on the tin.
The end result after 4 coats is a pasty shade of yellow, not the red/gold oak colour shown on the tin. Poor VFM cos I have to buy another shade in the hope that I get the colour that was promised.

Great shade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this varnish on our outdoor bench. The application was really smooth and easy to apply. The medium shade was just perfect for what i was wanting too. All in all a win win. As for its durability only time will tell...

It’s okay.

After a few years of use it was looking a bit worse for wear. It was okay to use but didn’t really give me the colour I wanted. Did spread as easily as I thought either

Use to touch up coffee table.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with this, we have a solid oak coffee table that over the years with the children always using it, had some stains on it that we couldn’t wash off, we sanded down and applied this varnish, which left a really good finish. It left the table With a nice gloss finish and was really easily to apply. It wasn’t too sticky like some varnishes can be. Gave a good covering and colour matched up Really nicely. Also went really far, when I saw the tin I didn’t think it would cover the table but we actually had some left.

Does bring the colour out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it for the first time and got a good finish. Whilst the varnish is itself green in colour, the final result is a medium oak gloss finish. The instructions are very well written on the can, follow them and you can not go wrong. It's simple and very easy to apply.

Great finish
