- For use on Furniture
- Prepare wood by removing wax, oil and seal knots on untreated wood. Fill any holes or defects with a wood filler. Lightly sand melamine surfaces with 180 grit sandpaper for the best adhesion. Wash your surface with a soda based cleaner and then rinse thoroughly, it should be clean and dry before painting. Ensure any flaking paint is removed. The surfaces in your home may have been painted in the past with paint containing lead. Special care must be taken when sanding or stripping these surfaces
- Instructions for Use - Stir thoroughly before use. For best results, at least 2 coats are recommended using a brush or roller. To finish use GoodHome lacquer or wax to provide heavily used surfaces such as table tops and chair seats extra durable protection. Allow 10 days for paint to fully cure. During this time treat your new paintwork with extra care, gently wiping any spills or liquids from the paint immediately.

We're using this paint to give our old furniture a new lease of life. It's made it look a lot more modern so it was money well spent. This is just one coat.

Good home furniture velvety smooth paint - meriden
I brought this to paint furniture grey, illustration on b&q site it looks grey, colour tab on tin is grey, but blue when you open the tin. Time wasted!

This is an excellent paint for furniture
I like painted furniture but find it so expensive. I was looking for a two tone, solid wood chest of drawers. Well took myself off to the charity shop, found a suitable item. Then along to b&q found the good home paint at a reasonable price. I used the brilliant white satin and the Meriden flat matt. Used a small roller to apply. Put three coats on for durability. Then I used a basic flat matt varnish 2 coats on top. Have been using the item for months, no chips or paint flaking. I would recommend for a smooth professional finish. And the best thing, furniture and paint all in for just under a hundred pounds.

Love it! Brilliant and so easy
After reading the reviews on this I thought I’d tried it on my solid oak furniture! Hasn’t disappointed, stir the tin well to avoid the blue and away you go! Recommend buying a wax to finish off
