Absolute garbage - AVOID
Bought to replace a Bemis top fix soft close silent seat also purchased from B&Q. I followed the instructions to the letter, making certain all measurements were adhered to and fixings were tightened. On fitting the seat, before even sitting on it, I moved it gently by hand to test security of fitment and operation, one of the fixings immediately moved loose, not boding well at all for effectiveness of use. B&Q warned at the till that I wouldn't get a refund on it if the box was opened, apparently due to people buying, pinching fittings, then returning, but that means nothing to me; it's going back. Fit for purpose? NO. Of merchantable quality? NO. I wish I'd read the reviews before choosing it- I'd have saved myself the forty-five minutes fitting it then reboxing it. Do yourself a favour and choose another- read the reviews. Bad product, B&Q; needs removing from sale.

Breaks easily and will not stay up
We bought this a year ago. The one upstairs fitted fine but the one downstairs on an identical toilet would not fit so that the lid stayed up. It has now broken this morning, the screws ripping out of the lid. We always buy new toilet seats when we move house, so I've had a few new seats. This is the worst j have ever encountered!

Fixtures not fit for purpose
The fittings for this seat are just terrible. One refused to go in fully, then promptly got stuck part way in. When we eventually got in and mounted the seat, the other fitting then became loose, and the seat now moves. It's going to need replacing. All in all a truly awful experience.
