This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, walnut gloss finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.
- Perfect for enhancing and protecting wooden surfaces or adding a splash of colour to unfinished wood.
- Suitable for Wood
- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Just what I needed
Good quality stain, 3 coats made a really dark stain.

Varnish drys quickly and looks great.
I purchased the small pot to varnish a chair,I use three coats and there is still a good third left in the tin. It goes on easily and drys super quickly and looks great, see the before and after pics of my antique chair, Very good value for money .

Did the job
Bought to touch up wear and tear on an old piece of furniture and much cheaper than "brand" names, good finish after two coats, still have half a tin left

Brilliant
Really impressed with this and it was so easy to use. It dried quickly and only needed two coats. I did as advised and painted it in one direction and gave it a good stir before hand. I have added pictures of before and after. I got the smaller tin and still have abit left over so it seems to go a long way.

Happy with the end result
I bought this as I couldn't find the more expensive brand of coloured varnish in store. This surprised me how well it went on and covered. I actually used it to protect, colour and give a bit of texture to MDF and it really does look like it could be more expensive wood that has been varnished after brushing in the same direction to create a woodgrain effect

Lovely product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy a little DIY, painting and decorating is my favourite because of the instant impact. I wanted to paint my staircase rail darker. We have walnut coloured doors throughout the house and the paint looked like it would make the perfect match. It is very easy to diatribe and work with. You can have a darker or lighter finish depending on how many coats you apply. I really like that as it gives you more options. Overall would recommend this gloss

Great stuff
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used plenty of varnish’s over the years I can safely say that this is a great diy varnish! They’ve done a good job with the colour as it’s lovely and the ease of use is incredible. Easy brush on and levels off well to leave minimal brush marks, drying time isn’t bad too so not a pain when doing multiple coats. Overall great bit of kit !

Great colour
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this varnish on an old walnut dressing table, the colour match was perfect, easy to apply and made an old dressing table look new again. Great colour and and lovely shine. Will be looking to update an old vintage table too. Happy with the results.

Lovely colour
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a a nice DIY varnish, I decided to darken a couple of small tables I have and it was soo easy and the look of it is great, a nice darkish wood colour with a slight shine too! Very happy, I may start doing some more now too
