Grohe Start Chrome-Plated Kitchen Twin Lever Tap

Good Grohe Start Chrome-Plated Kitchen Twin Lever Tap

Tappytaptap - 5 / 5 - 14/03/2025

Good product

Easy to fit and just what we needed, much more secure fitting than other cheaper taps. The others wobbled.

Taps

Good quality product .Was expensive but have bought cheaper ones in past and have not lasted

Worth the price

Looks good and shiny. Good company too so I’m hopeful for longevity on these taps

Really pleased

Tap looks great, had plumber fit it, he had not problems at all, so not sure why others have. Works well, and as it is low pressure compatible, is great with our lower pressure hot water.

Grohe mixer tap

Yes we bought this product from b&q leicester and we had it fitted by b&q thank you

Disappointing - unaligned taps and high leverage

Bought to replace an existing Grohe. Functionally fine. Plumber complained it was over-engineered, but it went in fine. When taps are in the 'off' position they don't line up; the top of the cold tap is further forward than the top of the hot tap. Also note that the gap between the sink and the taps is quite large, meaning that if you have a steel sink (like we do) you get a fair amount of flex because of the leverage imparted by the distance. This gives the impression of the tap being wobbly even though it's fixed solidly. Wouldn't be a problem on more solid composite sinks I imagine, and not really the tap's fault.

Great product

Easy to fit, looks great. I found this product easy to fit. In fact I liked the securing idea. But you need to terminate with the correct flat topped isolation valves.

Horrendous to try to fit.

Horrendous to try and fit the tails through the 'easy fit' sleeve and nut. Very poorly designed and a nightmare to fit under sink. AVOID unless you want to struggle.

Luxurious feel tap

I bought this tap on sale. It’s a quality tap for the money. It also came with grohe’s quickfix. Now I’ve never fitted any sort of tap before so I attempted with trepidation. I looked under my sink first and noticed straight away I need to buy a couple of hep20 adapters. The tap spout needed a bit of lube to be pushed onto the base and a bit of effort is needed. But after that it’s quite straightforward. I would recommend this tap. Just watch a couple of videos and assess any extra fittings you might need for your particular set up before starting.
