Nice tap. Poor execution.
I bought Grohe as a solid brand, to avoid 'buying twice' with cheaper products from jungle website etc. The tap is very nice, and looks the part, and hopefully will last. However, Grohe have decided to abandon the old approach of a plate and bolt requiring a tap spanner, in favour of a two part rubbish plastic 'bolt'. The outer blue part is meant to clamp the black part as it tightens, pinching in the black inner part. This absolutely does not work on a normal depth kitchen worktop, meaning the tap can never be firm and solid, and pulls off with the slightest effort. After experimenting with big washers (which I had to buy some, make other test bits from perspex), eventually the solution was jamming paper clips into the blue part to push the black part in enough to actually screw tight. Other paper clip colours would do the job I'm sure ;) Garbage over-engineering of the highest order and made a 15 minute job last hours.

Hardly enough flow to get wet
I bought this product on the 13th May and that should have been a warning. I have a gravity fed system and the hot water flow was appalling with this new tap whereas the flow with the old tap was fine. Don't buy unless you have a high pressure system

Shiny new mixer
Looks absolutely beautiful, maybe the tap is taller than I was expecting, but I should have checked the measurements. As for how well it works I can’t answer as it’s not fitted yet. But packaged very nicely and looks like it will be a quality product

Feel of quality and easy to fit
It’s what you have come to expect from Grohe, not the cheapest, but a nice tap for the money. The new quick fit arrangement works well, feels secure.

Updated my sink without the hefty price tag
I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I had an old tap that looked old fashioned and dated. I think this tap looks great, feels sturdy and not cheap and hopefully last a few years. Once I removed the old faucet, the install itself took about 20 min. I had slight trouble removing and reinstalling the base washer/rubber ring/metal base but nothing difficult. Every product no matter how expensive has some sort of slight annoying things about them. Functionality: turns on smoothly, faucet turns side to side with no difficulty. This faucet actually INCREASED the water flow/pressure. I really like it because it gets off the food off the plates faster, and also gets my hot and cold water temperature where I want it faster. Before I had to wait a long time until I would get my desired water temperature. Lastly, this faucet is a great height, where before I was struggling to wash larger items without manipulating the tap, now they fit under a piece of cake! Overall: excellent. Pros: - easy install - looks great - better water flow (for me, comparing my old Faucet) Cons: - getting off the washer/metal base off the bottom during the install. Otherwise, it's a slight annoyance.

Great Tap, Once it is installed
The Grohe product does not disappoint in terms of quality. It meets the expected level of excellence. The single-tap lever is definitely more convenient to use compared to the two-tap lever system. The loop feature is also a huge help when washing dishes as it provides better clearance. It is important to note that the water pressure is lower due to the narrower pipes. As a result, filling the kettle may take a bit longer, but it does help save water. This didn't really bother me but it's worth mentioning. However, I had some issues with the plastic fitting system during installation. I'm not sure if this is an improvement over the traditional fittings.
