Poor, don't buy it
I bought this for using with a B&Q rotary washing line, what a waste of money. There's some plastic inserts inside the spike but they are useless and the washing line still wobbles about in the ground. Absolutely a total waste of money. You'd think something like this would match diameter of washing line wouldn't you

Wobbles but excellent tip to use electrical tape.
Thanks for excellent tip. I was so disappointed when it wobbled but the tape has worked.

Do not buy
Doesn’t hold rotary washing line upright. The inserts are too lose and the line tilts even though we tried several times to fix it.

A good washing line holder
The spike was very easy to insert into my lawn. I used a smaller metal spike to make a pilot hole first and check the depth. I then used a piece of wood on top of the washing line spike and a mallet to hit it into the ground. It seems very secure and is level with the ground so I will be able to mow over it. The cap fits snuggly on the top to prevent any dirt or water getting in when not in use.

Poor design
The rotary dryer wobbles even though I've selected the correct plastic sleeve. Also, because there are no drainage holes the spike fills with rainwater, which eventually stinks.

Ground spike
Did the job easy to assemble & put into the ground

Does what it needs to do.
Bought this product today only problem Is the plastic cap that you use to protect the spike whilst hammering it into the ground broke even though at all times using a piece of wood to protect it.

What happened to fit-for-purpose design ?!
What happened to fit-for-purpose design ?! What can I say and where can I start ?! This is possibly the worst design that I have ever encountered. I was dubious before purchasing and subsequent experience confirmed these. The metal spike can be secured in the ground and is reassuringly solid and free from movement but that is where it all goes horribly wrong. Unless your airer pole can slide (SNUGLY ie an interference fit) inside the metal spike then you will have to accept that the top of the airer is going to move from side to side by about a foot !!! The plastic inserts are a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME !! Honestly, who thought that this could actually work ! It appears to have been designed by someone more used to working with LEGO !! Needless to say, this is complete and utter waste of time and money, and appears to be a damning indictment of very very amateurish design, something that is becoming all too commonplace.
