Good product and colour
Bought this product for our front gate and it had great coverage and was easily applied, it is not as strong as I hoped but it does the job and it's weather resistant, Matt finish as well which is nice

Outstanding Paint - Dark Grey
Purchased this product for a stair rail. The end result was incredible. The paint was applied with a paint brush and roller.

Excellent product
Used for steel fence posts with 20 years since last paint. Used wire brush attachment on my drill to remove the loose rust and get back to a sound substrate. Wiped down with a wet cloth and after drying applied paint. Easy to work with, second cost applied after four hours. Washed brush in warm soapy water. Really please with the finish.

Great product.
I bought this to paint my garden gate and wall railings. Cleaned off as much dead paint and rust with a wire brush that also gave a good key for the new coat of paint. Paint was easy to use. Happy with the finish. Was worried might have been too dark. Defo a medium to dark grey. More than happy with the colour. Dries quickly too, which alllows a second coat within 4 hours. Touch dry after 2 - might even say it was quicker than that. Would recommend. Can’t comment to longevity as only been on a week.

Hopefully worth the cost
I’ve painted a bistro set with this, I jet washed and rubbed over with a wire brush first, too two coats to cover - table & 3 chairs - which meant buying a second tin and using most of that too. The paint was separated in the and it’s thick, so it took quite a lot of mixing to a consistent appearance. The finish is excellent, just what I was hoping for, so if it lasts a good few years it will have been worth the time and expense.

Hammerite Ultima Metal Paint.
I was concerned when I read previous reviews as to whether I was purchasing a decent product or not. I decided that if my job requires three coats then so be it as I had ample for my needs. I used Jenolite to stabilise the surface I was painting then gave the framework two coats with a brush. This paint gives a Sheen rather than a Matt finish so be aware of this. It also shows every brush mark but fine for my needs. I was also painting an outside table top that was starting to show surface rust. I sanded it down then used a roller to give it a coat. The roller gave the table a stipple finish so I decided to give this an extra thick coat. Unfortunately excessive use of the roller and the thick coating gave a rough finish. I allowed this to dry completely then rubbed it back with wet & dry. Started with 200 grit then finished with 800 grit. This improved the finish no end, it also ended up Matt. Looks brilliant, so with a bit of effort it can look really good. I must point out that the rough finish was due to me over painting with a thick coat. If you are careful a thinner coat is probably better. It will have a sheen though if you leave it at that. Time will tell how long it lasts.
