This White gloss garage door paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply with a brush or roller and leave for 1 hour to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers 12m² per litre on average.

Watery & Runny
I bought this to repaint my garage door which I had stripped back to the metal and treated with a red oxide primer. The result after 2 coats of this product was a patchy, runny mess. I gave up with this and put a coat of standard exterior white gloss on instead which gave a far superior finish

Hammerite Garage door
Bought this for my painter to paint garage door. He had never used this type of Hammerite paint before. Once he got used to it he thought the high gloss finish was very good. He used 2 coats on main parts of door and had enough in one tin to give 3 costs to the top 3 panels which get the worst of the weather. He used a sponge roller to get the right finish. I am very pleased with results.

This product does not work on our garage door. o
Does not cover metal door. Comes out clear, despite being stirred.

Avoid this paint like the plague
The paint was cream in colour on application, and I thought it would turn white but it's still a patch cream after 3 weeks, see photo. I complaint to Hammerite, and they would only send me a voucher for another tin. I will have to sand the whole garage door again when the weather is better. Do not buy this paint.

pant is total rubbish takes at least two coats does not mix very good i have used cost me 40 pounds to paint door

Not fit for purpose.
The paint is too thin and watery. It's not worth buying.

NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING
Bought to repaint an existing white metal garage door. Was very disappointed. Painting directly onto (prepared) existing paint, as recommended, produced a strange translucent custard effect. Decided to try using Hammerite primer - which turns out to be red - and then repaint. Top coat now looks like slightly dirty varnish, with red showing through strongly. Not fit for purpose.

Poor value
Very thin paint, you will need to protect drive etc from splashing. Will need several coats, used Hammerite primer which turned out to be red. Needless to say white hardly touched the colour. Will use the remainder on next coat but will definitely not buy it again.
