Water Based Avoid Hammerite Period
Hammerite has gone. The can’t make hammerite like they used to because VOC levels too high now it can be thinned white white spirit instead of cellulose thinners or like the ultima cleaned brushes with water . They are now out to make money not make good paint

Terrible
Absolute rubbish. Ultima is a water based very poor substitute for hammerite oil based products. After 3 coats following all instructions rust still bleeding through. Contacted Azcko Nobel who basically said put it on really thick and accept it will be a rubbish finish. Avoid and stick to oil based. Only got one star as it wouldn’t allow me to leave none.

AVOID - Not like oil based Hammerite
Very poor quality paint. Poor coverage (you will need several coats) and runs. Not the Hammerite we have known and loved. Very disappointed. Recommend you avoid.
