Its plywood
Its a small sheet of laminated wood that's been stuck together.

Inconsistent quality.
I managed to make it work for my project, but I had to sort through the sheets to find ones that weren't damaged, bowed, or delaminating.

Great shelf
Needed it to make a shelf, took some hunting to get a nice un-damaged sheet but after cutting to size and varnishing it’s done the job great.

Perfect for a small job when a whole sheet not required, although expensive if you can use a whole sheet. Quality was fine and easy to transport and handle
