Jablite Polystyrene Insulation Board 50mm
We bought this insulation for our summer house earlier this year and found it really good. We used the 50mm to fit into the joists all the way round, including the ceiling and it was easy to cut with a snap off stanley and it held itself in place, when cut snug, so no glueing or fixing. The colour doesn't matter as it will be boarded over, so not sure why the complaints about it not being white?

I bought this to put in my house's cavity walls. It looks good and does the job. Easy to work with.

Euro Class E is not "excellent fire perf rating"
Does it's job under a concrete floor, but I have to call out the claim this has "...excellent thermal insulation and fire performance ratings..." Since when was Euro Class E an excellent fire performance rating! Really misleading and in a world where the risks of poor insulation selection can have tragic consequences. Come on B&Q...

Great insulator BUT …..
Bought some to test. Very good insulator but also very dangerous. It carries the lowest rating in flammability testing. Lights very easily, burns with a dreadful black smoke, melts and drips flaming globs everywhere. Do not use as home insulation or anywhere near naked flames. It is a killer!

The product is different to the picture
I bought this item hoping it would be plain white, but it was a mix of black parts mixed up. So there is none that would be completly white, and this image needs an update. I did spend money to arrange a driver to pick up this item, which bnq claims its white. When got there was disappointed they don't have it.

Ideal product
I bought this boarding as I needed a solid, durable product. It cut easily and fits very firmly. Exactly what I wanted.

don't be fooled
Something is wrong with the B&Q website. I bought this, and the member of staff took 1 of these out of the pack-of-4 for me. I was expecting the whole pack of 4. Luckily, after explaining the mixup in the situation to him, eventually they said I could take all 4 because the website had wrongly shown that the item in question looked like I should be receiving 4 - but in theory I wasn't supposed to.
