Push-fit valve for the connection of plastic and copper pipe. A must for any dwelling. The valve allows the user to stop the flow of water to a fixture, by the 1/4 turn of a screw, in case of emergency or repair. Simply push the valve fully on to the pipe. Should the need arise to demount the connection push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release. Installation can be reduced by around 40% against traditional fixing methods.

almost impossible to turn
I have fitted many valves similar to this before, without problem. But this one is just not good. I've tried countless screwdrivers and a range of coins and nothing turns this valve without real force and in many tiny increments. God forbid it's needed in an emergency. It's been turned on and off once and the groove is already damaged to a worrying degree. Do yourself a favour by something else.

Easy to fit valve
So easy to fit this service valve onto 22mm pipe and water tight straight away. Smoother operation and installation than 'conventional' compression fitting. Be aware, however, that speedfit pipe inserts will most likely remain in the valve if you try to remove plastic pipe.
