JG Speedfit Push-fit Tap connector 15mm
Product details
Product information
Push-fit plastic fitting for the connection of plastic and copper pipe. Simply push the fitting fully onto the pipe and twist the plastic nut clockwise to lock in place. Should the need arise to demount the connection unlock the nut and push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release. The fitting ensures an easier working environment in confined places and removes the need for hot works on site. Installation can be reduced by around 40% against traditional fixing methods. Note: With all plastic pipes the relevant manufacturer’s pipe insert is required.

Great product
Was perfect when fitting new bath taps easy to fit as well. Highly recommended

Not for sinks
Part connecting to sink tap is too wide. Please specify it’s for a bath tap not a standard sink tap please.

Does exact what it says!
Perfect fit, used on all taps within my bathroom project this week .... so I'm guessing any problems from previous versions have been fixed.

Flawed design
I had the same problem as another reviewer, the spigot would not fit into the tap. I'm a big fan of JohnGuest Speedfit, it always works well and is fast to install, but JohnGuest need to revisit the design for this connector, possibly making the spigot removable. You can resolve as the last revier said by sawing off the spigot.

Needs modification
Bought two of these to connect 15mm speedfit tubing directly to an original BS style 3/4" BSP parallel male threaded isolating valve. however though the thread was correct, the protruding 'O' ring retaining spigot of the connector does not enter the orifice of the tap, thus preventing thread engagement. Had to cut and file the spigot almost flush to allow connection. Maybe these connectors fit modern 3/4" SF valves, but they certainly don't fit my outside taps.
