excellent product
I moved into a home that has shiny walls, repainting was a nightmare. In the end, I found this undercoat. It's like glue, you just need one coat of this and your normal paint will stick on it no problem.

Does just what it says on the tin.
An easy to apply, good covering undercoat for a great finish for the top coat. Great value for the money.

does a great job
I thought this paint was good value for money , it went on smoothly and had a nice finish. I have recently been renovating a house and have spent quite a lot of time in B & Q Morfa. I find the staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly , enjoy the coffee bar also , overall a good shopping experience. Would recommend the store to everyone .

Superb quality for a trade undercut
I bought Leyland Solvent based Alkyd undercoat for a number of projects at home and for use on my local school I work at as a caretaker. After doing thorough prep of washing with sugar soap, filling indents etc were necessary etc then sanding & vacuuming off. I used it first on an internal window sill the full Lenght of the class room. It went on really well flowing nicely off the brush. Coverage & opacity too was very good. I gave the sills two coats for added protection as it will get a lot of knocks from the children. I applied Leyland gloss 24 hours later. (I had some gloss in stock) Again even the gloss finish was excellent. I did wet & dry the undercoat to give a good base with no brush marks. I can highly recommend this undercoat. Leyland is a good trade brand and with 3ltr cans it's very good value for money. Great to see Leyland is now in BQ. Both brands I know I can trust & rely on. I much prefer Leyland to the Valspar brand.

Best undercoat I've ever used
This undercoat gives a brilliant base for eggshell top coat. It really is the best undercoat I've ever used but not to be confused with Leylands water based undercoat. This product is oil based and although their water based undercoat is good, I think the oil based gives a much better finish.
