More shine than gloss

Put this on the door frames and skirting. Was shiny on application and hoped once it dried it would lose the shine but it didn't. This is definately more of a gloss than satin. Now to get a real satinwood finish and start again.

If you have old furniture and want to make it look new, then use this paint. It really is worth every penny. Wardrobe now looks brand new. I had tried several different well known brands but this one was just perfect.

After throughly cleaning & prepping previously waxed bare wood I applied 2 coats of the Leyland Trade quick drying primer/undercoat then I applied 1 coat of the satin finish, it is the first time I've used this paint & was very easy to apply with excellent results & superb soft sheen finish
Excellent quality 'gloss'

Have used previously and very pleased with this paint, gives a very nice satin finish, oil based and takes a while to cure, but gives a fantastic finish and doesn't yellow over time as other oil white based paints I've used do. Can be used with a roller as well for large flat areas, giving a superb finish.
Not as descibed in product details!

First time of using this paint and it is great to apply and the finish is good initially but virtually goes to a "flat" finish as opposed to satinwood. Smell not a problem as smell of newly painted surfaces is always refreshing but as to non yellowing, don't believe it, I painted a window cill only in early April and where things have stood there are already yellow patches beneath and also doors painted a year ago have already discoloured against new paint applied at same time. What has happened to paint over recent years. Its seems the only whites that stay white are quick dry water based paints which are hopeless to apply on a large surface due to brush marks. Makers never advise how you can you can thin a paint these days either.
Wouldn't buy this again which is a pity as had initial high hopes for it.keen di
