Apply this primer from Leyland Trade to interior & exterior , using a brush or roller, to prepare the surface for painting. It takes 16-24 hours to dry and will cover 12 m² per litre on average.

- Instructions for Use - Stir well before use. Suitable for application by brush or roller. Apply liberally, working firmly into the surface and laying off in the line of the grain. Take care to treat all accessible timber particularly the end grain. Allow to dry thoroughly before applying the relevant undercoat and finishing paint.

Reliable
I am a Bench Joiner , been using this primer for years . Great holding coat for exterior joinery they requires painting.

Terrible and smells so strong
This is awful I had to stop painting I was going dizzy with the fumes, it leaves very visible brush mark I can't face doing another coat with how strong it is.

Pretty good
I like this primer. Had a nice matte finish which was great to paint over. Good coverage and the smell was not that bad

I have not bought this product before, however I was very impressed with it. It certainly did what it said on the tin and the overall effect was very good. I will certainly buy this product again.

Worst stuff ever.
It takes longer than the 16-24 hour period to dry. Its super thick which makes painting difficult and it always leaves drips even when using it sparingly. It doesnt self level either so it will leave brush marks. Id rather have paid extra and use Zinsser bin primer.

Perfect for the Job
Bought this to paint bare wood of out building before the winter sets in. Covers very well and touch dry in no time am very pleased with its covering qualities and how it does not drip all over the place

This is 'proper' paint!
I was looking for some proper traditional wood primer for an outdoor application and I was fortunate to find this product. Having used it I'm confident it will do what I want. It's not your 'quick drying' water based paint and it will need a minimum of 12 hours before you can overcoat it and you can't wash your brush in water, but I'm happy with it.

Like usual primer
Used paint to clean up backboard behind electric were fitted, painted 2 coats went on like normal primer not watered done, took 24hrs to dry like normal primer should.
