Better instructions needed
I haven't used this hacksaw yet. It arrived with the blade fitted upside down & held in place by some strong twisted wire. There are instructions as to how to release it but they are in picture form & don't make much sense, so it remains unused at present. Last time I bought an ordinary saw It came in a cardboard cover with a protective plastic strip which was very easy to remove. I'm not sure why the hacksaw is so intetionally difficult to access. You will understand why I cannot answer the questions below.

Decent quality hacksaw with 2-position blade set
Great quality Hacksaw with decent handle and ability to set the blade straight on or at a 45 degree angle. Blade removal and tightening is easy enough and the supplied blade cuts through timber like a knife through butter. Overall for the price I'm impressed and it enabled me to finish a challenging stair bannister project.

Doesn't cut metal curtain poles
Bought one of these today to cut a curtain pole to size, the saw blade couldnt cut through the metal it was a really struggle. Wouldn't recommend this product for this particular task.

Did the job!
Needed to cut down a rail for some vertical blinds, this hacksaw did the job easily.
