Cannot tighten drill bits

Impossible to use as cannot tighten drill bits and they fall right back into the drill rendering it utterly useless. Wasted purchase.

Good drill - useless chuck

I bought this 20 months ago and it has had a little use. The chuck doesn't tighten easily, but worse it sometimes will not undo. This means resorting to having to gently tap the jaws to hopefully release the bite. The Makita cordless drills have a very much better chuck, so don't buy this!!!

Good domestic/light use percussion drill

This was the cheapest price out of large retailers, a good quality drill as you would expect from Makita, reasonably light wait and a lot quieter than my 18 year old Bosch. Comes with a good carry case with plenty of storage for bits/plugs/screws etc. Would recommend.

Leave Well Alone

Bought this drill a month ago after my Dewalt packed in after many years of great service, got to say this is the worst drill I have ever used emailed Makita customer service no reply, great, not sure it can go back to BQ after being used. The chuck is absolute rubbish does not matter how tight you do it up comes loose after a few seconds forever re-tightening. Small drill bits disappears in the chuck. Advice do not waste your money.
