Good quality
The wooden batten was of very good quality, not bowed or warped. It did the job very well.

Straight it was not
Wouldn't it be nice to get straight bit of wood. I spent ages looking through what was on the stand and couldn't find a single piece of straight wood. Yes, it is a natural product. But it is cheap fast grown, oven seasoned so it's never going to settle down.

used for skirting board
Made sure I picked out some straight lengths of wood. Did the job, easy to cut and sand and cheaper than skirting if you are after a simple basic look.

Very weak wood
This wood is very weak and splits constantly, it is basically very expensive kindling don’t waste your money like I have
