Stunning

We purchased a number of boxes of this product to install around a decked area. The finished result is lovely and the added benefit is, it can be cut to size, so an entrance could be made without using a whole panel. People always comment on how nice it looks and how different it is to a wooden railing set up.

Railings for my new deck

I ordered five sets and one was damaged but replaced quickly but the replacement also had a damaged rail. My builder was finishing that day so had to accept it. B and Q gave me a small discount but disappointing. Also the caps were flat and not as shown so sent them all back to B and Q

Pine decking rail

Pleased with the product like the overall result Screws that are supplied went in the bin absolute rubbish. The only downside is that I can't buy extra wooden rails or hanging brackets from you because I have had to cut some rails down and use them elsewhere Can't understand why you don't sell them separately

Look nice, price has doubled!!

Bought 11 packs of these a couple of years ago to go round a raised area from kitchen, now finishing a patio to side and wish to extend the original project with the same kit, was shocked to see that the price of these have doubled since I last purchased them. As I have loads of spindles left over from 1st project I am going to make my own as I can't justify paying double the money for essentially only really needing the top and bottom rails. Agree with other comments about the screws are very soft and heads strip, I have attached mine to metal posts with a welded plate at the bottom for fixing.

Great DIY kit

Good kit for the price. Easy to install and looks more expensive once in place. The screws supplied to fix the brackets are poor, so I used some of my own with stronger cross heads. A word of warning- the rails are softwood so don't take a coarse saw blade anywhere near them unless you want the edges to splinter. I ended up using a fine hacksaw in the end for a the cleanest cut. Also, if you intend to split one kit into two or more shorter sections, there are only enough brackets supplied for one.

Not perfect but pretty good

I bought 6 sets for a deck project. I had previously used Tuscany rails from another supplier, which looked amazing, but as this was a lot cheaper I thought I'd give it a try. The wood was similar quality but the holes for the metal rails weren't as deep - which means less "grip" area. To compensate, i filled the holes 3/4 full with gorilla grab glue. It should be OK but only time will tell. The holes for the metal band were a bit tight in places which was a real pain but with a bit of elbow grease I managed to get it through. Finally, take the screws supplied and put them straight in the bin - don't even waste time taking them out of the plastic bag as they are the lowest quality you can imagine. The heads churn up with the slightest resistance. I used 50mm green decking screws which were perfect. If you've not installed this stuff before go on line as there are some really useful youtube videos. Overall, and for the price, I would buy again

Better than pic!

These look great, better than picture! Installer & neighbours were impressed and couldn't believe they came from B&Q. Real value for money!

Use this alot as a landscape gardening business

I've used this product on many projects as a landscape business and it never disappoints. Iish and is so simple to assemble. The one drawback is that if you accidentally stand on baserail the spindles pop out but if aware of this then the product is fine.

Looks good

Looks good when fitted but cannot buy a stair kit to finish off the job
