Good looking shower but made poorly

Diverter completely useless, merely decorative!
Lovely looking shower but huge design fail: the diverter cannot be moved up or down or removed from the rail. Totally pointless it being there! It's fixed position is too high or too low for many and being restrained by the rail means it won't move far enough away from the unit to be useful. We bought a wall mounted bracket to hold the diverter instead but this hasn't really helped as you can't alter the angle of the head so it sprays full blast at the back wall!!

Not fit for purpose
Don't be fooled by how good this shower looks, it has a major design issue, ie the second shower head, which cannot be removed from its mounting ring. It can be pulled out about 12 inches then the hose snags up underneath the mixer valve. I mean seriously! They actually paid someone to design this!!! I have tried discussing the matter with Mira but their customer service /communication is completely non existent. After multiple emails I got 1 reply trying to sell me a seperate mount for £12 plus pp. Not good enough, i will be uninstalling it for a refund

Nice shower with design flaws
This is a very attractive looking shower and we are very happy with it. Except for a few things, 1) The flexi shower adaptor is held to the main shower with a loop chrome fixing meaning you cannot fully remove the shower head from it, the shower pipe can only slide through. This might not be an issue for some people but when you compare this to a more expensive range where the shower can be fully removed it does make an annoyance when trying to hose the bath down or shower young children. 2) The shower assembly would be better it if offered 300mm extra height as our ceilings are quite tall, I’m 6ft 3 and when using above a bath you either have to have the thermostatic unit too high or sacrifice the height in the shower head. An extra 300mm would allow for greater flexibility in use. Mira, make these changes and you have yourself a fantastic mid range shower.

Very happy with this shower
We have had this shower for about a year, it looks great and performs to a very high standard. We plan to purchase another one for the next bathroom renovation.

Avoid this shower. Spares are costly
I bought this shower and installed it less than a year ago. The showerhead is plastic on the inside where it meets the metal hose. The connection has shirred through. Mira are happy to provide me with expensive spares each time this occurs. Please avoid this product.

Love it!
Really happy with this shower. I tried another shower valve, it was a disaster... faulty from the beginning causing several weeks of stress. Got a refund and purchased the Mira Realm . Perfect even with our very low pressure system .

Coming back for another one!
Bought one for main bathroom 2015, and now doing up second bathroom so this was a must! Great results despite our low pressure bungalow. Our first mixer shower after years of electric ones and certainly the Mira maxiflow filter does its job well. The only minor negative is that the diverter head can't be lifted on the slider rail, but we are looking at the Mira fittings to see if there is a separate clamp to fit, which would get over this niggle. Generally great quality and no complaints.

Reverse inlet potential
Great shower. Pipes were installed in the wrong orientation, this product allows you to swap the internals through 180 degrees so that they marry up. Read all paperwork to make life easy and plan it. When all nuts are slack, prize up/out the cartidge with a small screwdriver. Vertical pipes can be shortened, size is 18mm so you need an adjustable pipe slice. Ensure flow regulator is fitted below diverter on this model, otherwise you will end up dismantling. Concealing plates could be wider as the holes in the tiles were exposed. I covered these with 28mm chrome pipe trims from B&Q, with a slight modification with a blade to around 30mm. Fitted in place with clear mastic. Allow to set. When you finish showering turn off, select the handset to let the remaining water out and this will minimise annoying drips, which are inevitable. Overall very happy. B&Q were also the best price I found.
