Avoid like the plague
Do not buy this sub par piece of rubbish only gave 1 star because you can't give zero. One lock snapped exchanged and second one did the same luckily I had not finished bathroom refurb and had another exit so could cut latch out. B&Q know this happens but continue to sell it.

PIECE OF JUNK - DO NOT BUY!
Same experience as many others here. Installed this about 5 months ago and it failed last night, locking my wife out of the bathroom. We only have one bathroom in our flat, so that's not ideal. I was at work so she had to call an emergency locksmith at great expense. Based on this experience, and those of others, this product should be removed from the shelves immediately!

Poor quality and unsafe
Same experience as others here. It lasted less than 6 month before I broke and jammed the door. Very difficult to release - would have been a terrible situation if someone (such as one of my children) were in the bathroom at the time. Avoid!

This is a seriously unsafe product - DO NOT FIT
I just had to kick the bathroom door down because the latch disassembled itself after my partner closed the door. The latch is poorly attached to the mechanism to actuate it, and if it comes dettached, there is no way to retract it to open the door. She's pregnant and two days ago was at home alone for 12 hours. What if it happened then? What if this is fitted to an old persons bathroom door, and they live alone? What then? Or an outward opening door and a child uses the bathroom? DO NOT FIT THIS PRODUCT.

Big door lock
The reason this doesn’t work properly is because you have numpties who do not have a clue what they are doing trying to fit door locks

Nice, easy-to-fit bathroom lock
I bought this lock as part of my new bathroom refurbishment project. I did notice that a lot of the reviews were negative, but decided to give it a try anyway... The instructions were detailed & easy to follow, but written in tiny, difficult-to-read writing! Fortunately, I didn't have to reverse the lock. Fitting the lock took about two hours, and so far it's working fine. One point to note is that I needed to shorten the main spindle by a few mm using my Dremel, as it was binding on the insides of the handles & making them stiff. To go with my new lock, I chose the white Abla handles & lock knobs (see pictures). So far, the lock is working fine, and I'm very happy with it.

I wouldn’t recommend this!
I would not recommend this. Whatever you do don’t open this up to change the latch round. All parts fall out and no instructions to piece back together again. Cheaply made. Disappointed with this product!

Failed after 4 years
Like others, trapped someone in toilet when handle lock failed. Had to remove outside handle and rescue them with pliers and brute force :/ Time B&Q upgraded this

Reversing latch is a nightmare!
There are 'instructions' to reverse the latch, which pretty much say, look and remember what the inside of the device is like when you dismantle it, watching out for the flying parts as you open it up, reverse the latch and put it back together! Hey presto! Not quite. Latch spring is now rubbish. The whole thing is cheaply made, especially if you have to dismantle it yourself to make it reversible...keep away!
