Spruce Tongue & groove Cladding (L)3m (W)119mm (T)14.5mm
Product details
Product information
Tongue and groove cladding can be fixed in either a vertical or horizontal position. When installing vertically start the project in one corner of the room with the groove side of the board facing the adjoining wall. Cladding can be adhered to a smooth surface or stud work or fixed to timber battens. Cladding can be face fixed or secret fixed by nailing through the base of the tongue at an angle into the stud, wall or batten. When fitting the last board this may need to be trimmed to fit by removing a section from the tongue side of the cladding. If a tight fit the under section of the groove of the cladding can be cut away so the board fits neatly on the tongue of the previous board. This must be glued or face fixed. When fitting cladding in a horizontal position begin with the lowest cladding board at the bottom of the project with the groove nearest the ground, this can also be fixed onto the surface by nailing at an angle through the base of the tongue. Work upwards and complete the project with the last board being cut to fit if necessary.

Poor quality
Should have listened to the other reviewers. Only bought 3 lengths. Two came with 8 inch splits at the end and the other piece was full of knots. Just manged to wangle a finish out of it. As if whoever selected items was getting rid of the substandard stuff as ordered online and to be delivered unseen. Be warned.

Substantial cladding
The fist delivery came with a part of the tongue of one board missing (hence the 4 stars) but BandQ were quick to send a replacement. It is substantial for cladding and I am happily using it to make a shed door.

Great quality treated cladding
Purchased this cladding to make replace my doors for refurbishing a shed. Great for the job but had to exchange one length that had a large knot hole in it

Very Content
Item was ready for when I arrived and was in a good state and it matched, just what I needed to fix a panel on my shed. Very content with the purchase.

Perfect foundation for my polytunnel
I bought these boards hoping that they would work for my polytunnel project. They were perfect in every way after making them weatherproof.

Too many knots
I wasn't expecting quite so many knots in the wood I received, fortunately I had knotting solution in , of which I had to apply a fair bit, also I had to cut end sections off that had knots.its fair to say not as good as hoped. Much It just made the job longer and harder than expected.

Good quality
Straight board, no troublesome knots. Treatment seems good

Useless, the tongues and grooves don’t mate up
I had 42 pieces delivered last spring but didn’t get round to using them until this week. The pieces were stored in the garage so we’re nice and dry. It is almost impossible to get the tongues and grooves to mate up. I have spent (wasted) two days trying to fit 2.4 metre lengths together onto the shed and only managed fit eight of them. I have now given up. A waste of money.
